dance of the night sky
   Review by Paul Ishtar

I found the museum show an intelligent and alchemical synthesis of dance, myth and science. The show was not only very entertaining, but educational on both a cultural and scientific level. The filmed dance/drama performances projected onto the planetarium ceiling against a back drop of the night sky showed high quality expressive / creative Indian dance, which at the same time was traditional and highly archetypal.

Bisakha who produced the show expressed a highly artistic and unique vision. I have never seen a performance anything like this. I will be taking my young daughter to see the show so that she can learn more about Indian mythology and astronomy in a very entertaining and sophisticated but accessible context.

Review by Junu Chatterjee

I came to see your show on 13th May at the planetorium and it was absolutely fantastic - I enjoyed it thoroughly. I was in the seventh heaven enjoying William's poetry, Arun's music and Kalidas's dance and Noel's painting altogether. It was such an ecstatic experience I can't describe it fully. Kalidas's dance and Arun's music together just created the magical moment and I thank you personally for giving me the opportunity to be a part of it. So thank you very much and hope to see more of this soon. After the show what you have organised downstairs was fabulous as well.
