Prabha Appaji - 'Koravanji'

I will be performing a folk dance called 'Koravanji' a fortune teller belonging to a travelling tribe from Tamil Nadu in southern India. Here she is telling how they hunt and feast upon wild animals. She is very proud that she hails from Tamil Nadu which is full of "emerald-green forest", where all kinds of arts flourish and where there is praise of 'Lord Muruga'. Though it is a folk dance, it has strong influence from Bharatanatyam.
