Welcome to the Third Age… and it’s still dancing!

We are living longer and dancing longer. The older person is often marginalised, with the younger, athletic and muscular body blazoned everywhere, and we are told dance is only for the young. But the mature dancer brings something unique: a seasoned and experienced body memory, a different aesthetic and energy, perhaps a deeper understanding of performance artistry.

'Body Of Experience' brings together six leading artists, performing in their own unique styles, sharing their individual stories and journeys, their dancing lives and their Body of Experience, in every mood, with music from all world music traditions.

CHITRA SUNDARAM Bharatanatyam (South Indian classical dance)
DEBBIE LEE-ANTHONY (Contemporary)
JACKIE GUY (Caribbean/Contemporary)
JACQUI CHAN (physical storytelling/Peking Opera)
NANCY KING (Raqs Sharqi classical Egyptian dance))
RAYMOND CHAI (neo-classical ballet)

Entrance is free but spaces are limited. To reserve a space please contact:
